Leaf Card

This was a card I have done I while ago and added a current saying to it. I love this card! I stamped the stamp in the ink and then spritzed the stamp with a the Spritzer tool (you could also Smooch it!) That is what gives the leaves the beautiful variance in coloring. THe leaves were cut out and tied together with hemp twine and put on the card with a Stampin' Dimensional.

Colors used were: Old Olive, Really Rust, More Mustard, Pumpkin Pie and Choc Chip
Cajun Craze would be a great subsitute and Early Espresso would also look nice with this card!

Monkey from a tree

My sister designed this card. It turned out so cute.

Supplies: Fox and Friends stamp set, sticky sheets, big shot and vine die cut and lattice embossing folder, ribbon, designer brad, hemp twine, 1 3/4 Circle punch, Espresso ink, Marina Mist and Crumb Cake card stock, glitter
The vine die will cut out its shape into a sticky sheet. It won't cut all the way through but leave an imprint (I just cut it out from there). The glitter sticks right on the sticky sheet and I cut the monkey out to make him look like he was swinging from the vine.

Scrapbooking Series 2

These were some of my first scrapbooking pages. I always thougth scrapbooking seemed overwhelming. Especially a whole 12 x 12 page. But I began small with a 6 x 6 layout and then I added until I had a whole page. You can see the two 6 x 6 pages in here. I placed them in opposite corners of my full layout. I CASED these two 6 x 6s from a swap I had gotten at convention a few years ago. I am not sure who they were from so I can't give out the proper credit!

Scrapbooking Series #1

I wanted to get some scrapbook pages in here from a finished book I have been working on over the last couple of years. The pages are all in the book so there is a little glare on the pictures. Hopefully the pages will post well enough to give a little inspiration.

Bird Die Cut

I used the Big shot and sizzlet to make this card. Some of the colors and the ds paper have retired but I liked this card and you can substitute different colors to make it. I used the Scallop punch for the window

Simply Adorned Jewelry

Make your own unique and pesonal jewelry!

At first I didn't think I liked our chains that went with the charms. They seemed too heavy and thick, but now the fall styles are coming out with lots of chunky, thick jewelry and the look is really growing on me. The black and Gray necklace hangs lower on the chest (24 inch chain ~ 1" x 1" charm) and the blue and turquoise necklace hangs just above the belly button (34 inch chain ~ 1-1/2" x 2" charm). A nice length to wear with cardigans or open sweaters.

Lace Card

I really like the lace doubled with the eyelet border. They seem to really go together and give your card a delicate vintage feel.

Supplies: Crochet trim, Certainly Celery Concord Crush Cardstock, Old Olive Ink, Eyelet Border, Medallion Stamp, Because I Care Stamp Set, Basic Rhinestone, Oval and Scallop punches

New Technique!!

I haven't tried a new technique in a while and I was excited to do this one!

Supplies: Elmer's glue, Baja Breeze & Wild Wasabi reinkers, Basic Gray ink, Nature Silouettes, Going Gray, Baja Bl, and Basic Gray Cardstock, silver brads, label and oval punch
Directions: Place dots of glue across your white cardstock and then smear with your finger. When this is dry dab your reinker on to a sponge and wipe across your cardstock. The glue won't catch as much ink giving you the neat effect. This will also take a while to dry but after it is dry you can stamp over it with your image.

This card is for my mom's birthday. I wanted to make her a special one so hopefully she won't be checking my blog this month!

Supplies: Elmer's glue, Crumb Cake, Rich Razzelberry, Cajun Craze reinkers, sponges, Early Espresson ink, Inspired by Nature Stamp Set, Scallop punch and accessories (here I used a clip and ribbon on the punched out label)

Scallop Fold Card

Supplies: Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, Marina Mist, Cajun Craze, Big shot with Square Scallop die and texture plate, Sticky Rhinestone, Scallop Punch, Silhouette Sentiments

Directions: The flower was made from two scallop punches. I distressed the cardstock after I punched and then seperated them. I cut the petals out. Then, I layered them on top of eachother.
TO get the square scallop fold I folded the Marina Mist cardstock through the Big shot being careful to not cut one side to get the fold.

Medallion Card

Supplies: Medallion Stamp, Black cardstock, Marina Mist, More Mustard, NIght of Navy, Big shot, embossing folder, and top note, ribbon, Scallop Circle punch, circle punch
I sponged NIght of Navy on the edges to give the card some added texture

Aviary Stamp Set

The Aviary stamp set is a very cute one. Some things I have learned with it is your cage needs to be stamped in a much darker color than the bird you stamp inside it. In this card I cut the bird out and placed it in front. I popped it with a dimensional. Again the color wheel inspired this color combo!

Supplies: Aviary Stamp set, Stampin Dimensional, Garden Green, Crumb Cake, Choc Chip and Cajun Craze, Big shot with top note and embossing folder, sponge

New Stamp Set!

Supplies: Embossing folder with Big Shot, Old Olive, Basic Black, Very Vanilla and Daffodil Cardstock along with DS paper. I used the markers to watercolor the images. Old Olive, Cherry Cobbler, Daffodil

Merry Christmas...in July...I mean August!

The Holidays will be right around the corner and with the new Holiday mini coming soon it got me inspired to think of fun Christmas gifts! These are some projects we did at our last Christmas retreat. My sister and I are looking at setting the date for 2010. We want to do it a little earlier this year so I will let you know when we decide! Last year many of our projects were made from a Scrapkit.
