Cardstock Easter Eggs

Supplies: Scraps of cardstock (I used Brocade Blue, Pretty in Pink, Barely Banana, Lovely Lilac, Certainly Celery), Daisy Punch, Glue Gun, Styrofoam eggs (Can be found at craft stores like Michael's and Joanne's)

In Minnesota it is not beginning to look like Easter yet and with snowstorms predicted this week it might not look like it anytime soon! So... lets use up some extra scraps of cardstock and make it feel more like Spring!
These Easter Eggs are cute and easy to make. I made them two years ago and take them out for decorations at Easter time every year. You can substitute different colors and punches for unique looks. I have even made Christmas trees with styrofoam cones at Christmas time.

To begin start punching out your scraps. (see picture below) Wrap a daisy onto the eraser end of a pencil so the petals are pushed down toward the pencil. This will give your egg a good 3-dimensional look with the petals sticking out when they get adhered. Place dabs of glue on the egg and then place flowers on top of glue while it is hot. (Using the pencil to place the flowers as to keep your fingers from getting burned. An optional step would be to roll the eggs in glue and glitter when you are finished. Enjoy!
